Wednesday we met Jack, Julia, and Steph at West Lake Park. The boys had fun, we had a great chat, and the babies were really great. Poor Julia got a little too brave playing in a tunnel and ended up with a big bump on her head. Afterward, Steph had the great idea to walk with the kids over to the fire station to look at the firetrucks. Cade was super excited and off we went. The boys rang the doorbell (and Jack yelled, "Ya here?") and two nice firemen came out and offered to let the kids pretend to drive the trucks and give them a tour. They said kids come by fairly often and they were so accomodating, even giving them hats and "junior fire fighter" sticker-badges. It was basically Cade's dream come true for a morning.
They even got to pretend to spray water with the hose.
