Blog world meets real world: kid edition

Today we woke up really excited and headed down to Newberg to spend the morning/lunch with the Johnsons, who are visiting family (& friends) from the Boston area! It was so fun to catch up with Erin and Jamie (college friends of ours & Tilikum friends of mine) and meet their two sweet little boys. Erin and I have both commented that we feel like we are living parallel lives at times, though across the country from eachother and it was sort of sureal to meet their boys for the first time! Cade loved finally playing with their 3.5 year old, a 'Caid' also, who he has seen many times through their blog and in Christmas cards. Caid (theirs) had even sent Cade (ours) a special drawing he'd made of both of them at Christmas. All the boys hit it off and visiting with Erin was great too. I hope when Jamie finishes school they are able to make their way back to the Northwest so we can have many more playdates/coffee talks.

Cade & Callum getting a lesson in "big smiles" from Caid and Ethan. :) Thanks for making time in your busy trip to visit with us, Guys! It was so good to see you!

As soon as Caid noticed our Cade had a baseball shirt on he wanted to go upstairs and put his Redsocks shirt on too.

Smily Ethan! Erin reading to the two youngest.
